Well, this year definitely another year of firsts and while it did not go to plan, for once that was (at least predominantly) in a good way. . . I am really not even sure where to begin!
We have had 4 pups join our kennel this year; Trixie, Cosmo, Magic and lastly Honey. (Stay posted to see if they pass their health tests in 2021!)
We have had 3 girls have their very first litters; Missy, Karma and Ivy. Ivy’s litter was extra special as it was also Cooper’s first litter and House Of Spades very first litter!
This year saw Nuka become the first Klee Kai to pass the CPNI Government Odour Discrimination test for her working odour (gluten).
This year for the first time ever we have a Klee Kai in the UKC All-Stars, oh wait, no we don’t, we have TWO in the form of Myy and Enzo who live with their most wonderful owners in Finland!
Myy also earned her UFA and USA titles!
And then last but not least we have Eirik and his accomplishments…
Eirik went to UKC Premier with Elina to see his daughter off to her new home with Jager’s breeder. He was really just there to hang out and compete in sports as he had recently taken an interest in lure coursing so hey, why not and why not show him while there seeing as we were at one of the two BIG UKC events of the year, I mean imagine if he won…

AKKAOA Speciality-
Eirik placed second in Adult Standard Male.
June 13th-
Eirik completed 1 leg towards his Flat racing title, 1 towards his Steeple racing title and 1 towards his Lure coursing title.
June 14th-
Once more competing as a class dog, Eirik took Best Male of variety, Best of Winners, Best Male and then BEST OF BREED!
After competing in the Northern Group he then ran (and I mean RAN) to complete 1 more leg of both his drag and steeplechase titles.
As this was clearly the best day EVER Eirik then decided to complete 2 runs towards his RUNN title.
June 15th-
Eirik placed second in Adult standard Male and then took Reserve Best Male of Variety.
He then went on to complete his two final Lure coursing runs earning him the CA title.
Then he went directly to complete his final Lure and Steeple Chase runs for his USA and UFA titles.
And THEN he went on to complete his final run for his RUNN title in precision coursing.
June 16th-
Eirik placed second in Adult standard Male.
IN SUMMARY
Eirik – 4 New sporting titles, 2 Second Place Adult Standard Male, 1 Reserve Best Male of Variety, 1 Best Male of Variety, 1 Best of Winners, 1 BEST OF BREED!
Henceforth Eirik is now to be referred to by his full and proper name of
RUNN UFA USA CA ‘PR’ HD’s Destiny of the Gods
When Elina stood in the ring with Eirik that day she could not help but realize that the last time she was stood in this same position was with Eirik’s father Costner, she didn’t think she would ever be stood there with his goofy son!
So at that point, Eirik was somehow, magically in the UKC Top Ten, in 3rd place no less so then we wondered what it would take to keep him in the Top Ten. Well, a friend of ours had said we should go to UKC Gateway Nationals, would it really be that crazy to go to America twice in one year to show? Well, probably but we did it anyway and it turns out that it was not a fluke that Eirik got BOB at Premier as he then did so TWICE more at Gateway AND he achieved his CHAMPION title!

October 25th-
Eirik placed First in Adult Standard Male.
He then took Best Male.

October 26th-
Eirik placed First in Adult standard Male.

He then took Best Male.
He then took Best of Winners.
He then won Best of Breed.
Eirik achieved his Champion (CH) title!
October 27th-
Eirik Competed for the first time in the CH class and while he did not place he was put into the line up for consideration.

Eirik won the Champion Class.
He then once more won Best Of Breed!

So Eirik is our FIRST House of Klee Kai bred Champion and with very limited showing is now ranked 5th in the UKC Alaskan Klee Kai Top Ten making him our FIRST dog to be in the Top Ten!
Eirik is also the son of House Of Diamond’s first Klee Kai Diamond, who Elina’s kennel was named after which makes this all even more special.
We are beyond proud of each and every one of our dogs and their accomplishments, however big but this year really has been so full of those BIG ones and we could not be happier!
